Genital warts are caused by certain strains of human papillomavirus, or HPV.
This common sexually-transmitted disease is transmitted through skin-to-skin
contact, although not all strains of HPV cause symptoms, let alone genital
warts. While HPV is a well-known risk factor for cervical cancer in women, there
are risks to men's health, too. In addition, the symptoms and topical solution for male genital warts sufferers differ from those of females.
HPV is commonly reported in women but it is important to note that men suffer
from HPV as well. With the growing cases of women suffering from the virus, it
is more than likely that men are becoming infected as well based on sexual
statistics. It has been noted that some cases of HPV in men lead to penile or
anal cancer though these situations are rare.
Male genital warts testicles treatment
Your doctor will be able to prescribe the best remedy to this disease basing
on his or her proven examination.
Small warts can be removed by cryosurgery (freezing), electrocautery
(burning) or laser treatment. Occasionally, surgery is needed to remove large
warts that have not responded to other treatment. Some health care providers use
antiviral drugs to treat warts that have recurred after removal by traditional
means. These drugs are injected directly into the warts. The drug is expensive
and does not reduce the rate of recurrence.
