External Genital and Perianal Warts Treatment

External genital and perianal warts (EGW) are diagnosed in more than 1 million new patients in the United States each year, and may be associated with substantial individual and societal burden.

External genital warts are very similar to perianal warts; but are located along the outer part of the genitals. The infection can spread during sexual activity. In many cases, patients suffering from external genital warts do not exhibit any symptoms. But, sometimes, this condition is associated with burning, itching, pain and tenderness. The warts cause localized irritation in the region.
