Q: Dr, my boyfriend was diagnosed with genital warts. Now, i don’t have
symptoms. What should i do to prevent me from getting them?
A:
● HPV vaccines are given to protect against HPV infections and healthy
problems that HPV infection can cause. Two vaccines(Cervarix and Gardasil)
protect against cervical cancer in women. One vaccine (Gardasil) also protects
against genital warts and cancers of the anus, vagina and vulva. Both vaccines
are available for females, Only Gardasil is available for males.
● Condom: Use condom in all sexual relations. Condom is helpful in reducing
the chances for getting this disease. But remember it does not guarantee and not
100% to prevent or avoid HPV infection.
● Treat your boyfriends. See the doctor to remove them or use Keyouwang (
www.genitalwartstop.com ) to remove the warts and prevent them from coming back.
If the warts do not come back in one year, it is called cure. It means that your
boyfriend will not give it to you.
● Avoid sexual life before your boyfriend remove all the warts. This reduces
the chances for having genital warts.
Here are the symptoms of genital warts, which may be helpful for you.
In women, genital warts can grow on the vulva, the walls of the vagina, the
area between the external genitals and the anus, and the cervix.
The signs and symptoms of genital warts include:
Small, flesh-colored or gray swellings in your genital area
Several warts close together that take on a cauliflower shape
Itching or discomfort in your genital area
Bleeding with intercourse
I suggest you go to see a doctor regularly for test. Because genital warts
have a very long incubation which is from 3 weeks to 6 months. During
incubation, there is no symptoms but you may have already been infected with
HPV.
Hope the above all are useful for you!
